The only integral journal?

What about Integral Review? And the scores of folks at integral consciousness or beyond who haven't read Wilber or endorse his system? Or other postmodern journals across a whole sleau of disclipines?

Tired of you guys overstating your claims as though your some kind of lighthouse in a dark sea.

At least have your marketing be informed beyond the borders of your narrow integral operating systems..

Yes the only journal devoted exclusively to the AQAL model

Dear Bob,

I see your point so we will have the copy changed to better reflect what we are communicating here. AQAL: Journal of Integral Theory and Practice is in fact the only academic journal devoted exclusively to the application and exploration of the AQAL model. “AQAL model” is used synonymously with the name “Integral Theory.” Wilber named his approach Integral Theory many years ago – before other integral journals emerged. I'm a big fan of Integral Review and publicly support their work and the leadership of its Editor in Chief - Jonathan Reams. I consider Integral Review to be a journal devoted to Integral Studies, which includes the AQAL model/Integral Theory as well as a host of other integral approaches. This is important and valuable.

I am not aware of any other contender for the title of “Integral Theory.” There are many integral thinkers and practitioners and some have advanced theories that are integral in important ways and many have critiqued AQAL and made interesting modifications to it or proposed alternative conceptualizations. But none of them as far as I can tell are really an integral theory nor do they call themselves one. Nevertheless, thanks for your feedback we will make use of it to be more mindful of these issues.

We are both Right

Here is another way of holding it. Bob - you are using "integral theory" in a loose and general way and so our journal isn't the only one out there doing integral "stuff."

We are using "integral theory" in a specific and technical way to mean the AQAL model and so our journal is the o nly one out there doing Integral (i.e., AQAL) "stuff."

Re: The only integral journal?

Bob,

I don't know you Bob, so I could not make a strong statement about yourself (nor do I have the right to do so, at least publicly). Being said this, I wonder why such an aggressive comment. I don't know if you realize what the word Integral (or AQAL, Wilberian, or whatever you want to call it) really means in an abstract way. It has for example an explanation for your disproportional comment, yet he could be comfortable received and extract your partial truth, as Sean as do it immediately. You will not be ignored, you will be included.

But my concern about such an emotional discharged that I felt in your comment makes me ask you, if you allow me this (and excuse me for the intrusion), if you could look inside and understand why you make such an unpleasant, red/green post.

Kind regards,
Ivo

for Ivo

hi Ivo man, maybe bob's post was to see if the marketing department could be as effective with less superlatives given the ever broadening and deepening application and embrace of integral in all its manifestations and interpretations without heavy regard for which is the original, authentic one

or maybe to see if he could provoke a reaction

or something else

we don't really 'know know' and neither does bob

but the integral journal looks great AND i for one will love having it on my lap in my big easy chair or while soaking in my bathtub rather than cramping my back and shoulders in front of this pc (talk about a an angry red/mean green tube - sometimes i wanna chuck the thing out the freaking window but...),

peace and love prevail

cosmogerminating

as a pro-active de-lightening worker on noospheric redemption ... and holons as well,

i offer it as a privilege to Ken en Co to send me the publications ...

all is well
