Integral Leaders Sought For a Harvard Research Study

The Mindful Leadership Study seeks a group of Integral Leaders as volunteers to explore how an integral perspective may be uniquely helpful in the context of leadership development.  The purpose of the study overall is to understand how mindfulness – whether naturally occurring or purposely cultivated – may help leaders be more effective in developing the social and emotional skills critical for effective leadership.

♦ Either do or do not have a formal mindfulness practice
♦ Held a leadership position for at least 5 years
♦ Had at least 3 employees who report directly to them and 8 employees who work in positions below theirs

Time Required to Participate: 2 hours total

♦ Participants complete 4 self-assessment questionnaires at your own home or office
♦ Each questionnaire can be completed at different times if desired
♦ Participants will have the opportunity to learn about their individual results

Integral Special Education - Doctoral Studies - CGU

I am currently conducting research at Claremont Graduate University as to how to
best implement inclusion of special education students into general education classrooms, using integral theory.

your leadership study

I have graduate training in leadership and organizational development, and years of familiarity with Wilber's work which includes being introduced to developmental psychology through it and me adopting it as a guiding philosophical principle. I recognize developmental psychology has often used these kinds of questionnaires and Harvard was often where it was happening.

I have a yoga practice myself, and in the grand tradition of Will Ferrell: "I'm a mid level manager. People RESPECT me! I drive a Dodge Stratus!" (actually an Accord)

There's no question I believe that meditation assists leadership. I even own a copy of Sacred Hoops.

Yet, I'm sorry, I hope you a) have a long career and b) find a better way to study leadership than self assessment questionnaires filled out by people who are a very minute percentage of the work force. There isn't enough traction.

My sense is that the right track in studying leadership is 1st tier perspective combinations taken to the vision logic level. I/we/it combos. Or maybe intelligence line combos.

Excel master x passionate exerciser x good marriage x working at a dot.com = head of accounting dept.

anyway, good luck
